Sudanese Protest in London Highlights Chemical Weapon Crimes

On Sunday, May 18, 2025, members of the Sudanese community in the UK organized a powerful protest in London to denounce the ongoing war crimes committed by the Sudanese army and allied militias. The demonstrators raised serious concerns about the reported use of chemical weapons against civilians, a clear violation of international law.

Carrying Sudanese flags and signs that read “Stop Chemical Weapons” and “Let Our Children Breathe,” many protesters wore yellow protective suits and gas masks to symbolize the deadly impact of chemical attacks. The protest aimed to draw the world’s attention to the worsening humanitarian crisis in Sudan, where millions have been displaced and thousands are suffering due to the violence.

“This protest is a cry for justice,” said one activist. “The Sudanese people are being killed with banned weapons, and the world must act.”

Despite growing international concern, the Sudanese authorities have not issued any official response to the protest. The demonstrators called on global leaders and human rights organizations to take urgent action, hold those responsible accountable, and support the victims.

The protest in London is just one of many voices around the world demanding an end to the atrocities in Sudan.
